“Aaron is an extremely talented young goalkeeper with a lot of experience. He will bring competition, which we all want. Quality competition, healthy competition. Aaron was the goalkeeper we were looking for.
Give him time. They’ll love his personality, his character and the qualities he brings to the table as a goalkeeper. He has huge, enormous potential.”
After missing out on European qualification last year, Arsenal has been active in the transfer marketplace this summer. Ramsdale is likely the fifth senior face to arrive to north London.

After Arteta’s confirmation that there are still some tasks to be done, the focus could shift now towards offloading players prior to the August 31 transfer deadline.
He said, “There are still 11 days left and there are still many things to do.” It’s still going to be hard for some players to get game time.
