The biggest debate this WNBA season has been over the Rookie of the Year award, and it’s been between Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever, and Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky. While both have been stars and had a slight rivalry since college, they had to team up together for the first time in the WNBA All-Star Game.
Despite the “rivalry”, fans were extremely excited to watch the two star rookies team up together. Fortunately for them, not only did they secure a win over Team USA’s official Olympic team, but they both shined bright, setting very impressive rookie records.
After this incredible performance from the two, fans were raving on Twitter, and someone posted a hilarious meme, essentially highlighting the fact that the two shouldn’t be rivals anymore.
Furthermore, in response to this post, a couple people had the exact same thought.
Fans are also in agreement that they should end their rivalry, and form a truce as they worked so well together.
In fact, even the Chicago Sky themselves sent the same message to the Fever after they displayed their connection in the All-Star game.
As the fans have said, it really was incredible seeing them on the same team. This will definitely not be the last time they play together, but hopefully it is the end of the “rivalry”. Though the rivalry was mainly between the fans, this All-Star game brought everyone together, and hopefully it stays that way.
