Currently, a Home Manager position is open at a national organisation in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area within an exceptional home boasting convenient road and rail connections to Cardiff and Pontypridd. The home features a tight-knit and well-established workforce dedicated to providing top-notch care for its residents, complemented by breath-taking panoramic views of the Cynon Valley. Your new role
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents.
- Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure resident safety.
- Coordinate and monitor resident care plans, making necessary adjustments based on individual needs and preferences.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address concerns and provide updates.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth and enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with external healthcare providers and agencies to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Manage the budget and resources of the nursing home, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective practices.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve the quality of care.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid nursing license and extensive experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing home regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly residents.
- QCF/NVQ L5 in Health and Social Care
